After a week of quite frankly awful weather, the motoring gods finally smiled down on us this Sunday, providing crisp, clear skies for our October Sunday Service. The sunshine clearly did the trick, with more than 500 of you turning out in force to join us at the historic Brooklands Museum.
Seeing cars lined up along the iconic start/finish straight and dotted around the grounds made for a brilliant display against all that British motorsport history. True to PH form, the sheer variety on the day was fantastic. We were treated to a massively eclectic mix, from a full low-rider-spec Oldsmobile and a brilliantly retro 1970s Nova kit car, right through to a pair of superb hot rods. Throw in a pristine E30 M3 and a wonderfully rare Range Rover CSK, and you've got a proper Sunday morning lineup.
We also treated ourselves to a bit of an upgrade this time, ditching the usual hire van for an Ineos Grenadier Trialmaster X. It served as the ultimate, rugged event wagon and effortlessly swallowed all our gear - looking the part in Devil Red paintwork with its fantastically named 'bat-wing' awning.
Beyond the fantastic metal you all brought along, it was great to see so many of you making a proper morning of it. Whether you were checking out the F1 exhibition or wandering through the London Bus Museum, Brooklands really did provide the perfect playground.
A massive thank you to everyone who made the trip out and helped make the event such a success. We always love seeing your shots from the day, so please head over to the original event thread in the forums to share your photos and highlights.
Next up, we're heading to the Great British Car Journey on the 15th of November for a slightly smaller, more intimate gathering. It happens to fall on the same weekend as the NEC Classic Car Show, so if you're making a weekend out of retro motoring, it’s a perfect fit. Tickets are live right now, with more information coming very soon.
Finally, spots for our last Sunday Service of the year at Thruxton on Sunday December 6th are also live and free to attend (book your space here). While you're over in the forums, keep your eyes peeled - our 2027 events calendar is nearly sorted, and we'll be officially launching it next month.
