We generally make a point of not hosting two Sunday Services in a similar location during a single year; however, rules are made to be bent. For our next Sunday Service, we have a rather good excuse: Brooklands Museum is marking 100 years since the very first British Grand Prix.
Before Silverstone or Brands Hatch, there was Brooklands. On August 7th, 1926, the Surrey venue hosted the inaugural British GP. Masterminded by racing legend Henry Segrave, the grueling 110-lap race covered over 280 miles of the punishing concrete circuit, with victory ultimately going to Louis Wagner and Robert Sénéchal sharing a Delage 15-5-8. As the spiritual home of UK racing, there is no better place to gather while the museum marks this incredible centenary.
Tickets are exclusively available via the Brooklands Museum website; please don't search Eventbrite for this one. We have secured a dedicated PistonHeads discount for attendees, dropping the usual £25+ entry fee to just £19.99 per person when you use the exclusive code to pre-book: PISTONHEAD26BM. Tickets are priced per person rather than per vehicle and include full access to the museum. Please note, tickets are available on the day, but the discount is only available on pre-booked tickets.
If you already hold a Brooklands membership, our event is fully included at no extra cost. As Brooklands is a registered charity, please remember that a ticket is required to enter the site and display on the start/finish straight. On this occasion, there’s no facility to join PistonHeads parking for free, as your ticket directly supports the museum and grants you access to all the exhibits.
If you are arriving in a sports, performance, or classic car, the Brooklands Museum team will direct you to join the PistonHeads display area on the historic start/finish line. We will be pitched up on the day with the PH Pop-up, so make sure to drop by and say hello. Breakfast and refreshments will be available from the Sunbeam Café.
We look forward to seeing you there!
