So, she'd have women back to work after a few weeks following the birth of their child?
I dont have kids, but I strongly disagree here
I think a lot of the problems in society today stem from women not spending enough time with their kids, and ending up with "I want!" needy brats because of it
I would add though that I see no issue with the idea of the father being at home for the kids, so this isnt a "chain the women to the kitchen sink..." type of thing
I just think that quite naturally when a child has to compete with 10 other kids for an adults attention in anursey, rather than a 1 on 1 (2 on 1, 3on 1...) situation with their parent, they are going to be needy and loud
Again, I dont have kids but I see the evidence in friends and familys kids quite clearly
Ooooh...........Richard E Grant saying his piece now.....

If my wife doesn't go back pretty quickly after we have kids I have no idea how we'll afford to live.
She has no intention of going back after the first one and sees it as an emotional, not financial decision so I'm sure they'll get plenty of attention. At least I'm happy with my job and not looking to quit any time soon. *choke*

They need to sort out paternity leave before anything else, two weeks to spend with your kid and then back to work. Equal rights eh? f
king great...
Yep,
king great...considering some of the useless crap that goes through the European courts, amazes me this one (being an actual, relevant issue) hasn't got there yet
All I can remember is that physically there is no way in the world I'd have been ready to go back to work and emotionally. My boy had a slow start with poor weight gain etc he didn't put any weight on til the 3rd week how could I have left him at that point.
If she wanted to go back so soon that's up to her but I know my boss did not see me as a drain she valued my skills/ experience and supported me.
