Car/driving lessons from Fast 5
Discussion
Saw Fast 5 yesterday and rather enjoyed it, despite the preposterousness of it all.
Here are some things I've learned as a result. Feel free to add more...
- To win a street race, change gear just before the line.
- If a 996 GT3 RS isn't fast or nimble enough, try a Supra
- In a fight between moving bus and stationary car deliberately placed just in front of it, bus loses badly.
- If you're so broke that you can't afford any food, things still aren't bad enough to sell your hugely desirable vintage Skyline and buy a lesser mode of transport.
- The new Dodge Charger has a surprisingly large amount of torque.

- Spindly armed, Ex-forces, super-model-esque women can manhandle a car through a complex whilst drifting better than any man ever could.
- Race Spec Corvette C2's can self repair on the go.
- The Dodge Charger "Lazarus" project is in full effect.
- The new dodge charger is not subject to the laws of physics, buy one now for a free pair of gravity boots and a "go faster" stripe!

Every car has at least 15 gears. To go faster just change up another gear.
If you are ever drag racing, never go all out and use full throttle at the beginning. Rather than putting your foot to the floor as soon as possible as you would normally do in a real race, always hold a little something back. That way, in the event that you are in danger of being overtaken, then and only then should you mash the accelarator to the floor to surprise the other racers with your extra turn of speed.
A 10 second quarter mile race will always take at least a couple of minutes to complete.

It doesn't matter that you don't have any money at all, you will still be able to buy the latest computer equipment and scanning/listening devices, petrol, tyres, welding/cutting gear etc.
You will be able to call on your multiskilled mates at anytime who will come immediately and lay their life down for you. (One of whom will die).
You wil be able to find large groups of street racers and scantily clad chicks in multistorey car parks in any city in the world.
Cop chicks love big time criminals.
I enjoyed the film

But why were they so broke in the first place? As soon as they decided they were going to do the bank job, they managed to win a GT3 RS in a street race along with about 10 other high performance or customised cars worth several hundred thousand within a few minutes. Why didn't they do this in the first place? In fact why did they even bother risking life and limb with the dangerous bank job when they could have been out winning cars every night, they would have been millonaires within a month.
Funniest thing I've read on here in a long time!Goochie said:
