Rover V8 rebuild - recommend me a company

So, I've got V8 Developments and TVR Power on the list, who else should I be speaking to about a rebuild (and possibly a few tweaks) to my Chim engine? Are there any particularly good exchange packages that people would recommend for a fast road engine on a realistic budget - say sub-£4k all-in?

He built the race engine in my Rv8 Tuscan, There was something of a engine battle between us with Jamie and marc and tvr Power... It was closely fought but we triumphed in the end... but both built fantastic engine... That race engine went on to do 4 more season with just oil changes, giving plenty of wins. its currently being refreshed and is mint inside, despite dropping the coolant and cooking the oil in its last race... I've also got my baby 4 ltr road car engine with him for a rebuild at the moment...
I recently drove Jamies personal 5ltr road Chimaera, and blimey thats fast... much quicker than any other 5ltr road car i've driven.
Give him a call.. He's worked with both power and John Eales in the past so knows all the tricks..
Current thinking - assuming there's damage to the block or reciprocating assembly - is a V8D 5-litre performance short engine with a fast road cam combined with the original heads and ancilaries.
Once we've confirmed the extent of the damage I might just courier the whole lot off to someone like V8D and get them to send it back as a complete rebuilt or exchanged unit ready to drop back in.

To be honest it depends on the bhp-increase per pound. I don't have a target figure really - 300bhp would be nice for bragging rights, but all I honestly want is a relatively free-revving engine that will feel lively on the track. If, at the same time, I can get a little extra 'go' without spending huge amounts (over and above the rebuild cost) then more's the better.What kind of spec are you looking at for your rebuilt RV8?

Graham, if its the yellow Chimaera you are talking about then it was my old one Jamie built me a storming engine (368 bhp) I later sold t to him, glad to here its back on the road.He built the race engine in my Rv8 Tuscan, There was something of a engine battle between us with Jamie and marc and tvr Power... how on earth do you get to that figure?nope...380 is about the tops with all the gear (5L) 5.2s can hit the magic 400. Its was the magic 300 when I started on this road Ooooooo 12years ago!

That is very impressive indeed. I assume that a RV8 engine producing 380 BHP is using a very aggressive cam profile and is not that drivable on the road where much of the driving is low revs and at 30MPH? SC will get you 465....
