Shopping for a new compact - Olympus XZ1 or E=PL1

As tile guys, lookung for a new compact ish camera, thought i had narrowed it to the LX5 or Canon G12.

However, the Olympus XZ=1 seems the bizz & has a good review on DPreview. To add further confusion, i have been offered a E=PL1 with the 14-42 mm lens, brand new, for £252 at a local camera shop & checking the reviews, it also seems a good buy.


This will be my only camera, so will be used for everything. Not too interested in a full size SLR, been there & just too bulky for day to day use.

Any opinions welcome....
