What is the typical TVR owner?

Looking at some threads in this forum (like "Is a TVR better than a woman?") and on some other TVR forums (for example, "Global warming" on the Chimarea forum), and at all those topics about big wheels, big noise and big HP, I start to wonder what the typical TVR owner is like, and I start to understand why TVRs are still considered by many as cheap, brash toys for show-offs, rude hooray-henrys and people who have some other social deficits to hide behind a lot of noise.
I feel that in large parts the cars have been designed and made for this kind of people, and that they are still in large parts in the hands of this kind of people. This is what keeps the image of the cars on the questionable side and the prices low. Many people consider TVRs as cheap substitutes for more expensive and sophisticated cars, as one of the few chances to buy "big bang for small bucks", and is was exactly the marceting philosophy behind the marque was.
As soon as they will get rarer, hence more expensive and more demanding to maintain, this sort of owners will dissappear, and the image will change. I think that in 15-20 years from now, the typical TVR owner will be somebody who keeps his car because it has the unique romance of a by-gone age. This kind of owner exists already but is still a silent (if growing) minority. Today, some TVRs are already owned by writers, artists and university professors who would never ever socialise with the loud and macho hooligan-fraction.
It will be amazing to watch this transition in the image of TVRs.

Perhaps, but how can you make such sweeping statements about a huge group of people simply by reading a couple of threads on an internet forum you've only been a member of for a matter of weeks?Many TVR owners dont read these forums any more for this very reason, seen it all before.

I think the OP is taking himself and the comments on this forum rather too seriously. Meanwhile as suggested above his sweeping statement based no doubt on a short period of ownership along with membership of these fora would insult 90% of TVR owners if they actually cared, I doubt many, like myself do.
Hi rfein its like this most of the poeple you talk to out there in the real tvr world are stop on people , from evey walk of life , with a lot of good to talk about , about any subject
But some of the post on here like what should the colour of my next car be , and does by bum look big in this , are not the normal evey day tvr owners i know, you will find loons were ever you look , just laugh it of move on and you will find some thing comes on here evey now and again thats worth talking about.

I'd actually say that the last 30 years of TVR models are owned by a massive spread of people and it would be impossible to link them together via anything other than Tiv ownership.
Not similar to many other marques.
To many people with beards or in IT for my liking but nothing is truly perfect in life
