Thinking about it, Its just to much like a race car on the road going to get points soon.

Interesting theory, change from a 4.2 speed 6 to a 4.0 speed six and you wont get points, dont see it myself but best of luck.
At least whatever you do you will still have great car.

The way i see it is the AJP (4.2) really encourages you to rev the t*ts off it, torque band is pretty high up the rev range and it is pretty tall geared as well. At least the 6 cylinder engine has a different feel to it and a bit smother to live with just feel the cerb is a real race car pedigree with the AJP plus i love Tuscan mk1 styling.

Not saying i drive like a d*ck to earn points have never had any but to get the most out the Cerb you have to rev it and by doing that it is well in to 3 figure leptons .

The Tuscan is a cracking looking car, but in my humble opinion the Cerbera is the daddy ! It's the purist, sleekest TVR ever (Griff is a close second).

I think that the speed six will make you want to kick it just as much. The peak power on the six is around 6500rpm, about the same as the AJP.

I find that you can take it fairly easy in the V8 and there's still nothing that sounds like it. You see people 500 yards down the street turning round to see whats coming.

You might get used to it mate.

I've found myself wanting to drive the speed six cars harder than my Cerb.

Scott if you are looking for a good Tuscan I met a guy from the Central Region who is selling his 2001 Red Rose with about 35k. He's had it since nearly new and by all accounts he's the type of guy you want to be buying a TVR from.
I looked over the car at Crail a couple of weeks ago with a view to buy it, but just don't have the funds till I sell one of the Tamora's.
He's wanting £15k which seems fair. I can get his number for you if it's of intrest.

I did this, went from a 4.2 Cerb to a Tuscan.
The Tuscan is a lot smoother/easier to drive about town.The Cerb was more brutal in it's power delivery, and , as you say, more race car like. Tuscan's great, but I still miss my Cerb , given unlimited funds I would have both!

Hi Barry how's things?

I am just at the browsing stage just now. I think i just miss a soft top as the weather has been so good, sods law i get rid of the Chimaera and its the best summer in years.

I think i will have to give the Cerb a chance still not done more than 1000 miles in it yet so will give it time it is a very well set up car handling wise feels like a go cart and soaks up all the bumps very well with the 17" wheels and big tyre profile, Credit to Green star for setting up the handling feels so planted over the Chim.

But i still love Tuscans one day i will get one but i have only had the Cerb a few months now.

One possible solution for you that I've been thinking about for a while and am going to do to mine soon. Put a removable panel in the roof.

No problem will do starting to fall in love again after today getting the hang of it, It appears to be running pretty well too after todays rolling road session.

I have found the Cerbera much harder to fall in love with than the Chimaera, absolutely no idea why.

Both are bloody amazing, maybe it's complacency, you know, save and dream for years for a Chimaera, then 10 years in one makes the Cerbera less easy to fall for?

I think your right it was a Cerb i wanted at first dreamed for years and a mate of mine put me off the cerb saying oh they cook you alive inside lumpy engines so on so on. just 3 years with a chim and seeing and being around TVR's has got me used to seeing them so nothing like a first love i guess

But yeah both amazing cars
