Hi All

Has anyone changed the any of the switches on the dash of the S2?
If so what did you use? I would like to get some chrome or brushed aluminium replacements and don't want to reinvent the wheel if somebody has already done this.

p.s. I'm not looking for a lecture on whether or not I should change them (still not fully recovered from the earbashing I received from my last post on brake upgrades!!).

Like I said, has anyone managed to find any chrome or brushed aluminium switches, my standard ones are fine but are a little worn and if I'm going to the bother of changing them I thought I may aswell make them look good. I'm quite capable of using the search engine but as it didn't have what I was looking for I thought I would post a comment.

I have also considered swapping mine, I was going to use throw swiches they are readily avalible from (of all places) most agriculture merchants, for the record I have fitted xr4 front brakes and they are great I am going to do the rear once funds allow.

My S2 had a row of rotary switches at the bottom and a couple of rocker switches for the windows. They were all black - so were the dials and radio. Were you planning to replace all the black stuff with silver/chrome/etc? I've seen the dials with the bezels just polished up and they looked great. It's common to have brushed aluminium rotary switches for instruments and I imagine it would be easy enough to find a few rotary switches the right size and electrical characteristics that had a metallic finish. I suspect the window rocker switches are the bit you would struggle with. At one time Leven did some aluminium switch covers (and heater controls etc) for the Griffith/Chimaera, maybe there's something there you can cannibalise?

the 260mm parts from an xr4i (not 4x4) bolt on you use calipers and the disks / pads. I would buy new disks and pads though.
