Best place to sell these days?

Hi chaps,
I bought a Nikon D300s and a few lenses just over a year ago and i haven't hardly used it!
With the amount of scamming and weird paypal/Ebay stories, where is the best place to advertise it all do you reckon?

I think you do need to be a member for a minimum period and have a certain number of posts in order to get on the sales part of the forum on talk photography.

I would say TP as well, but I think its a 100 posts before access to classifieds these days. Ive bought a lot from there with no aggro at all.

I've got a Canon 24-105 F4 L that I don't use anymore that I wouldn't mind shifting but I haven't used eBay to sell before and I've heard a lot of horror stories when it comes to stuff of any real value.

eBay is swings and roundabouts.

I've sold 4x cars on there, total value touching £14k and had mixed issues..... And I've bought all manner of stuff ranging from £2 fancy dress gear for parties to £400+ items.

Sold, and bought a few bits of camera related gear for the OH on it...... Never had any problems.

Timewasting chavs are too busy trying to buy/sell mobile phones and corsa's to worry about posh camera gear. Most I dealt with for vintage cameras and spares for the OH were middle aged guys, using it as a way of trading up/down, all proper helpful

Yea I guess only photographers would know about pro gear so it shouldn't be too bad, thansk for the advice.

best bit of advice I got when starting on eBay was to "aim at the right market".

So if the advert is well written, clear, concise, and requires personal contact (phone) for stuff of high value, should be fine
