What steering wheel and peddles - GT5
Discussion
If you want one with H pattern gearbox and clutch then your choice is fairly limited and none are cheap. the Logitech G25/27 models are well proven and used my many on here, otherwise its the Fanatec range which some rate as better than the Logitechs, but they're even more expensive. There's also the new official GT5 wheel from Thrustmaster which looks good, but thats also expensive and Im not even sure it comes with an H shift?
Before you invest though are you sure you'll use the gearbox? Ive got a G25 and although its a nice gimick to change gear with clutch and lever when just messing about, but its invariably slower when playing GT5 than using the paddles or putting the lever into sequential setting (the latter you dont get on the G27, so it's paddles or H only), so I don't use it if Im racing online or trying to beat a time etc. That being the case if I was buying again I'd try a Driving Force GT first because if the feedback is similar (some say its not quite as good as the G25/7) then the only thing I'd miss really are the nicer metal paddles rather than plastic buttons, but its not worth £100+ extra just for that.
