Absolutely lovely colour!
Thank you for filling information almost for every day of use, that's much rejoicing for an enthusiast like me to read.
I hope you touch wood with it!

Nice and shiney, orange disks are a nice touch too :-)

Don't worry too much about the early niggles we all have those it just the car testing you. About two hours have I had mine I pulled up outside a mates house to show off and the dam thing wouldn't let me out. He just looked at me while I waved and gesticulated then drove off again without saying hello :-)

Cheers, Steve

P.S. Are you on the Yahoo groups Cerbie list yet?

Thom, Thanks for that. I'm intending to keep this up to date so that a) I keep track of what occurs with the car b) I can see what it actually costs me and c) I thought it'd be a usefull resource for anyone else getting in to the marque.

Orange disks - TVR feature: washing the car causes the disks to rust up, makes the wheels dirty the moment you use the brakes. Some devious design feature to ensure these cars are constantly being cleaned ??

Am on the Cerbera Yahoo group but turned off the mail as didn't have time to read it all. Go back and have a look every once in a while.

Must go now, there's a Cerb waiting to make me grin manically all the way to work

Really interesting to read your TVR exploits in such detail. Hopefully I'll be doing the same before long

Excellent info but really disheartening. These TVRs may give a rewarding drive but what a pain in the arse and wallet.Having read many reports from owners i have come to realise that everyone suffers problem after problem......sigh.I think i won't be buying one as my wife reads this too and breaking down is something i'm just not into.If Porsche can may a reliable car why can't TVR?Must try harder.
Good luck and keep the reports coming....

Shame you had to mention Porkers, but otherwise your comments are valid - it is frightening for the uniniated.

Porsche can do it because they are years ahead of TVR in terms of growth and have the resources to invest. TVR still develop on a shoestring.

You are of course forgetting the fact that on a site like this, you frequently hear the bad news, but infrequently the good news. The old proverb about no news being good news is pretty true.

A lot of people are too busy driving with cheshire cat grins to post here about how their cars are working so well.

So... Nothing but a split rad in 14 months to spoil my party. OK?

Just search this site using the string 'happy owner' and there will be a helluva a lot of people shouting from the rooftops about how good these cars are.

I for one am made up with TVR's!

Well said Matt - I second it!

Yes it would be great if they were more reliable, but this is outweighed by other factors, e.g. fun, adrenaline generation, stunning looks, sound, interior, etc. in my opinion.

Saying that, I've had my Chimaera without (touch wood, not tempting fate) any problems so far.
