Can an Outboard be run on LPG?

Has anyone seen such an installation?
With the cost of fuel now, i'm seriously looking into alternate fueling to satisfy my boating needs.
Main question I have; can LPG be run on carb engines or does it have to be injection?
Thoughts appreciated....
Edit: Its a 2 stroke so looks like its not an option
