Apache just flew over my house in Birmingham?!
Discussion
Ive no idea whats going on and couldnt find anything on the new but an Apache flew over my house this evening around 6pm. It was flying pretty low and on a course directly for the airport which is only a few miles from here. It may be a coincidence but there were LOADS of sirens in that direction at the time.
Anyone got any ideas?!

Defence cuts plus public sector cuts resulting in a combination of tasks for efficiency purposes. The police now uplink joyriding reports straight to the apache who use them for targetting practice. The end result cuts down on jail overcrowding/costs as well plus the offender rehabilitation process is significantly streamlined.

HAHA what a briliant idea! the Highways agency will have a F'ing fit though when they get the bill for all the holes in the road from the 30mm HEDP rounds! lol If you where going for PM i would vote for you! lol

Please, please and thrice please, let this be true.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
Midway between that one, and today, they flew over my house too, on the flightpath into Birmingham.
I had a scanner handy, and ATC said they weren't stopping.

I was led to believe that militery stuff ALWAYS tacks priority over commerical stuff no matter where you are flying. And to be honest i wouldn't argue with an Apache that could be carrying the following:Midway between that one, and today, they flew over my house too, on the flightpath into Birmingham.
I had a scanner handy, and ATC said they weren't stopping.
300 rounds of 30mm HEDP
38 70mm rockets (verious payloads but the ones carrying 80 5inch long tungston darts sound VERY bad to me)
8 Helfires (that REALLY going to screw up your day!!!)
Chris.
