I've hardly touched my road bike in the last 2 years, instead concentrating on rowing but I thought I'd try a bit more cross training so this evening I dusted the road bike off, re-lube it off I went. I had a cracking ride. 33 miles in 1hr42mins smile I am so chuffed and had forgotten how much I enjoy it; definitely going to keep it up smile That is all!

Good for you for getting back in the saddle. You managed an impressive speed - where do you ride? I struggle to maintain 15mph in the Peak District

Just from home in Maidstone, out to Charing along the A20, then across to Pluckley, Headcorn and back. It's relatively flat and rolling, except for Sutton Valence hill about 5 miles before the end which was a bit of a slog.

I'm reasonably fit from rowing, but my legs feel like they are becoming a bit of a one trick pony, so I'm going to try and do some more cycling as well smile

edited to add: I had a play around with this earlier because it felt distinctly like Pluckley to Headcorn was uphill, even though I knew it wasnt! http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/31577108
