Thanks to all for replying to my last post it was very helpful.

I now need to start sending out order confirmations and invoices. I have obviously seen these types of things before, but when it comes to designing your own I'm not too sure of what to include in the document. And would it be legally binding document?

I will need to include:

Something about requiring a deposit (non-refundable) before starting a job (cutting a slab of granite is costly if they decide they don't like the colour).

Payment terms (we would like C.O.D, but we understand that some companies don't work like that).

Do I include late payment terms? (i.e. add interest)

So anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or templates?

Thanks in advance

As a member of the Federation Of Small Businesses you get free legal advice on just about anything you can think of. Plus you can download hundreds of templates that you can alter to suit your own requirements.

Been very worthwhile for us. See www.fsb.org.uk
