C200 CDI - glow plug and engine man light on

We have a 2005 C200CDI the glow plug light comes on and stays on and also the engine manegment light come on a stays on.
This has been an on going problem we have had the glow plugs replaced and the lights re set then a couple of weeks and the lights come back on. Back to the garage to clear lights they said trying running on premium brand fuel rather than supermarket stuff.
The car is going back in the week as lights have come back on again i would like a rough idea whats going on.

sounds like two seperate faults to me. If the glow plug lights coming on & staying on & provided all the glow plugs were replaced with a good brand of glow plug i would say you possibly have a fault with the glow plug relay which is located on the passenger side inner wing under the bonnet just in front of the strut tower.
As for the engine management light coming on this could be related to the glow plugs but may possibly be coming on for another reason & until you have the engine control module scanned for fault codes its pointless trying to diagnose the reason why the lights on.
