In no particular order...

Nick Cave(The Birthday Party, NC and the Bad Seeds, Grinderman)
Steven Patrick Morrissey[well, not as good now as he once was..](The Smiths, solo)
Mark Kozelek(Red House Painters, solo, Sun Kill Moon)
Robert Smith(The Cure)

Special mentions go to Evan Dando(The Lemonheads, solo) and Greg Dulli(The Afghan Whigs, solo, The Gutter Twins, The Twilight Singers), Mark Eitzel(American Music Club, solo), Ian Curtis(Warsaw, Joy Division)

smile

Every time I put a bit of thought into this...I come up with another name..

So here I am once more. In the playground of the broken hearts. One more experience, one more entry, in a diary self-penned. Just another emotional suicide. Overdosed on sentiment and pride. Too late to say I love you, too late to re-stage the play. Abandoning the relics in my playground of yesterday.

Never been one much for listening to the words, but some of Guy Garvey's lyrics could bring tears to the eyes of a statue, as could Tom Waits. The first time I listened (properly) to Kentucky Avenue from Blue Valentine, I had a lump in my throat.
