This could be very interesting... And good timing for the lab as well

Fermilab are often coming out with such claims, don't know if any of them have actually been proved yet though

Shame that the Tevitron is going to be shut down though after all the effort and expense that has gone into it and the things/ideas it's produced.

In one universe it was, in another . . .

Fascinating. Wonder why they called it the technicolour? The particle accelerators have discovered a huge amount of data regarding particles. The CERN institute when they discovered the antihydrogen in 95 I think, got the scientific world excited. It's only recently they ahve been able to capture an antihydrogen for any length of time, (fractions of a second, still).

How do you capture an anti-particle? Where does it come from?

IIRC when a particle meets and anti-particle , they anihalate and turn to into pure energy.

Fascinating, proper sci fi stuff!

Er, yes. If you discovered something like that in a very competitive field you publish it Asap because you want to get your discovery out before someone else beats you to it.

Keep it in some kind oh isolation trap, use magnetic fields to trap it. It's all under vacuum anyway.

Seems the heaviest anti-matter was discovered recently too.

i've love to see some antimatter chemistry going on, I wonder how long until that is possible.

Fascinating stuff going on with massive breakthroughs in our life time. I clicked on the Subscribe button - enticed by 20% discount and access to 20 years of archive material . . . then saw the price, £143! yikes

Still can't resist though, is this my birthday pressie to me, mmmnn?
