I wonder if anyone else is having similar problems or can point me in the right direction.
I cannot communicate with Ebay, ie cant bid or even mail them for help etc. Every time I get a microsoft error message. Everything else seems fine, problem is withEbay only.

Interesting, a friend of mine hasn't been able to register or view anything on ebay and using Freeserve, everything else works ok and ebay themselves were no help at all. Sorry I can't help though.

I haven't suffered that problem myself (and I used Freeserve up until 2 weeks ago), but if you could post the exact error message you receive then someone else on here should be able to help.
I've also got a few contacts within the ISP who run Freeserve so I'll check whether it's a known problem.

Darren, thanks, the error message I get is the usual,
Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Any help would be much appreciated.

OK, well that's the browser crashing and unlikely to be connected to your ISP (unless the Freeserve modifications to IE cause it to fail). I would recommend getting the latest version of your preferred browser as a starting point.

Darren,thanks for your reply.
I have re installed Internet Explorer 6 and even tried 5. No change, exactly the same problem.
Any more ideas,
Tim

As I said, it's definately a browser issue. Installing Mozilla avoids the problem, not fixes it! I'd imagine it would be down to the modification Freeserve make if you install it from the CD. The modifications are notoriously difficult to remove/reverse. However, they are designed to modify IE so you'll get away with using Mozilla. A lot of people prefer other browsers such as Firefox, Opera etc. Take a look around and decide which you prefer. If it's IE then we'll have another go at sorting it...

Thanks Darren. The problem seemed to start when Freeserve changed to Wanadoo a few days ago. Freeserve were of no help at all and its very hard to get help from ebay. I have no problem with Explorer other than this issue so will use both browsers as required. Thanks again for your help.
