Good places for early morning shots in the south east

I'm wanting to get up early to take some nice sunrise/ early morning shots and was wondering if anyone had suggestions of where would be good? I dont want to be getting up at silly o'clock with no plans of where to go.

So, does anyone have good suggestions of picturesque places to get nice shots possibly including a sunrise around the southeast? I am based in Slough but dont mind a bit of travelling, I have thought Virginia water would be nice as it seems there are some good shots facing east across the lake but I don't know of anywhere else.

Head for the east coast. Sunrise from the sea is just stunning.

A bit of a trek but The scallop and aldeburgh beach with fishing boats make great morning shoot subjects.
PH east anglia are meeting there this sunday approx 11:30
