SLR can be an exceptional pro/semi pro video tool but not quite as easy to go with as a handycam thing.

An episode of HBO's series 'House' was shot with a Canon 5d.

Latest Sony DSLT, with full time autofocus, do a very good job of imitating a Handycam.
