Ive given up, but thought you might like to read the fun Ive had trying to get a horn delivered from M&P. You would think they kept better suppliers..
(read bottom up) - and take note of the dates.. I ordered this on 3rd March...

Dare I ask why they haven't shown up another 10 days after the date you said you would despatch it on? Whats todays excuse?

Stuart

And how long do I expect to wait for the second horn, Im assuming your not waiting months for this delivery? Is it worth forwarding this email onto the bosses, as there appears to be a huge whole in your ordering and supply to customers they may wish to address?

Hi,
We have received one of them in but not the other. It was expected to come in the end of last week, but I cannot see from the system if we have had the delivery of them or not. The other horn is reserved for you until this one comes in. Thanks HAyley M&P

So they are on there way now then, surely you haven't had two failed deliveries? Is 2 months for a delivery starting to get a bit bad? Not making a good impression at the moment...

So that means they should turn up in the morning - allowing for 5 days delivery? I assume they turned up on the 8th?

I would follow up the cancelled order with a strongly worded letter to the Director...something along the lines of:

Dear Sir,

I ordered some parts from you over 3 months ago, and have been unable to get the horn since then. Your sales assistant HAley tried to give the horn on several occasions, but without success (though I'm sure she is a lovely girl). Now that the nice weather has arrived, my partner has been on at me to take her out into the country for a ride. Obviously, without a horn I am unable to agree to her request even though I would definitely be up for it.
I have therefore had to cancel my order and try and get the horn by other means, before she runs off with another bloke.

Yours Faithfully

I know Ted doesn't like us slagging suppliers off but...

I've ordered a few bits from M&P in the past, half of it has gone back because of poor fit or finish, or like you I've cancelled the order because the stuff hasn't been shipped after a couple of months.

I won't be using them again.

Very funny!! sounds like a Derick and Clive sketch!

If it wasn't for the fact I have spent 10 days trying to take delivery of a new screen from the WORST parcel company in the world!! - if they try to deliver when you are out (as working people usually are) then they will re-try within a 5 day period - but can't tell you what day! lol
