Test drove an SLK55 today....
Discussion
Lovely car which is currently for sale at Xtreme UK....that engine is epic.
A few questions though, for those that own one:
1. Are there any updates for the autobox, and does it 'learn' your driving style? Was smooth but a little lethargic.
2. Is it possible to fit paddles without messing around too much? The buttons behind the wheels are poor.
3. There seemed to be a lot of dead travel in the first 1/2 inch of the accelerator...is there a 'fix' for that?
Although after driving it, my underlying feeling was that the whole package was fantastic (bar the interior plastic feeling a little cheap) but was ultimately let down by the autobox...shame really (and no, I don't want a Boxster!)

Ah, I see - I thought there was only Manual or Automatic....maybe it wasn't in the sport mode? It was in whatever it defaults to when you stick it in "D", which I assume was non-sporty!
Should never feel non sporty, the 0-60 time is 5.4 in S and around 5.9 in C, and thats in a 350. The 55 isn't a huge amount quicker, but feels it - or should do.Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
