The chef might be Japanese, but I doubt the fish is.

thought Japan was the biggest importer of tuna so the likelyhood of it being from contaminated waters in Japan would be pretty big no?

If they import tuna, then even in Japan it'll probably not be from Japanese waters, surely?

TBH I didn't. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Japan imported tuna.

Either way, unless it's a high-end restaurant serving Japanese expats I expect the tuna has come from the Med.

fook it. ordered it anyway. half life for radiation is what 50 years?
so that must mean it will take at least 50 years before any ill effects if any are felt rtight? biggrin

We send a 747 full of salmon from Oslo to over there once a week. Turkish Airlines take as much as they can get on too.

I couldn't stand the stuff until I tried our local. They are Vietnamese, don't know if it makes a difference.

They do deep fried beef, scampi and chicken ones too.
