Stuck at work listening to the Radio, and the fact it is broken and stuck to Radio 1 is quite irritating. Now I know everyone has different musical tastes but just heard some butchered version of Foo Fighters. The DJ's are absolute c*cks! I don't mind radio1 during the day but it always seems to turn to absolute crap after 21:00. Fed up with it now gonna turn it off and sit in silence in a sulk lol.

Rant over!

If you have the internet on could you not listen to an internet feed of a radio station you actually want to listen to?

Would love to trust me, but we are unable to stream stuff on our PC's here. It struggles with PH forum lol!

It's just as bad pre-21:00, isn't it? Reminds me of the conversations you overhear from school kids on the train: everything is "brilliant!!!", "amazing!!!", "oh my God!!!" (as if the listener can't make up their own mind as to whether a song is any good) and completely celebrity obsessed.

I could understand it if the DJs were 18, but most of them are over 30 and some of them are in their mid-40s!

RIP - they've gone to 6 Records, starts next week in the afternoon.

This week the 8pm R2 slot (oo) is filled (er) with (mrs) John Holmes & Miranda Hart. Mildly entertaining chat but dire music,

regards,
Jet

Im of the opposite opinion, pre 21:00 is total crap, post 21:00 is so much better.

Rubbish...it only gets good after 9pm.

Before that its all DLT and Simon Bates with our tune.
Give me a bit of John Peel playin some SLF and Ramones....

It hasn't changed recently has it?

The whole point of Radio 1 in the evenings is that it pays specialist music. Not all the shows are supposed to appeal to all the people...

Mostly dire but the occasional show has some songs on that I would never have found out about if not for Radio One so I have to say im a fan.
