Hope Tech X-2 Compatibility

Heard some shifter compatibility issues with Hope Tech X-2 levers. Does anyone here run them with 2009 SRAM X-7 or 2007 X-9 shifters?

They are pretty lumpy bits of kit, I had deore shifters and could not run the levers inside of the shifters. Now have XTR (which have the removeable gear indicator) and now can run the brakes inboard, for 'single finger' braking. You might have similar problems with the SRAM shifters, depending on how you like your brakes positoned.

What is that for exactly? Are they shifter mounts or summat?
I note its for the 'Race' X2 rather than 'Tech'...

I think its for mounting the shifter directly to the brake lever, rather than on a seperate clamp.
