Check Engine Light Stops Play :-(
Discussion
I came back from my hols on Saturday night and couldn't wait to get my 3200GT out for a play yesterday. It started straight away so I let it warm up for a bit before heading off; however, I didn't get more than 100 yards up the road before the Check Engine light came on and the ECU went into "Limp Home" mode.
I hoped pulling over and turning the ignition off for a bit then restarting might sort things, but the same happened again so I had to turn around and head for home, where the car still sits now.
I know this is a common problem and is normally just a sensor, if I'm not mistaken, but are there any other quick checks I should do before calling someone out under my Trident Approved Car cover?
I just want to avoid waiting around for someone to come out only to find out it's something silly like a fuse that I could have sorted myself!

Hi Chris,
I'm not an expert but I also have slow down lights on my 355 which also puts the car into a limp home mode. Someone on another forum mentioned how the lights are linked to ECU's which take signals from the CAT's. I'd give Karl a call at Verdi's, I've been at his garage when he's reset the ECU's on a 355.
On the other hand you might need new ECU's but that would be a worst case scenario.
Hope it all works out.
