Silicone Hoses ?

Can anyone explain why silicone hoses, Samco etc, are only available in 1 metre lengths.

depends where you go. try ACT products, and I think you'll find what you need

The manufacturers of silicone hoses only have ovens big enough to take 1 m lengths, we can supply silicone outer black rubber inner hose in longer lengths though

Thanks, for the responses guys. I was just curious about the standard 1 metre lengths.

tried your link to Lister, this appears to work but if you hit the home link on that page you are taken to a new version of their site. This new version does not appear to have as much in the motorsport section as the link you provided.
