  • Title should be iPod, not iPhod** If anyone can edit please.
Hello all...Just picking one of these up, A Class 160 SE avantgarde, and wondered if anyone could tell me if I can, and what I'd need, to get iPod controls through my head unit, I have a new little nano that I want to just leave permanently in the glove box.

I've looked here http://www.comandonline.co.uk/A-and-B-Class-W169-W... but brain went into meltdown.

(Also using iP4, but assume that is all taken care of via Bluetooth)

Cheers

There should be a 3.5mm AUX input inside the glove box that you can connect an iPod up to, this is the socket your looking for:

You just need a standard 3.5mm cable to connect the iPod

You do however have to control the music through the iPod. To do it through the stereo/ computer you'd need the full iPod integration which is an optional extra.

In that case I think you need the UMI. Not entirely sure though as they changed it on the newer A-Classes. You're probably best of asking the dealer
