Pocket bikes

I'm not a biker, bar riding some 50ccs as a kid. Bought a Minimoto 47cc Pocketbike last weekend (for my son, honest) at the Stoneleigh kitcar show. Trouble is, besides some furtive runs round industrial estates etc., I haven't got anywhere to run it. Has anybody on PH got a pocket bike???
Does anyone know of anywhere kids can ride, as my kid has already turned petrolhead - and banning the motorbike has become the ultimate parental weapon - he has never behaved so well.
If no-one knows anywhere he could ride pockets, what would you recommend to get him started? (Midlands area) He's only 10, is there any competition for kids that age???
