Where has XP gone ? for some reason just booted up the beast and all the desktop is in the old style not xp , havent done anything and i cant find the xp style in the desktop properties ???? very odd

Thanks chaps but the xp style has gone all i can select is classic style when i last shut it down it had a bit of a fit but shut down ok . going to the shed to find a hammer

I have managed to save the XP Theme out to disk.

if you mail me your email addy, I will happily send it over to you.

Should then be able to just select it, and use it.

Cheers mate i will do a scandisc and see if that sorts it if not i will give you a shout , thanks for the offer , my brother was home for the last few weeks and paid a visit to every bloody porn site that was available so i will run every anti virus that this thing has as well . might just change the pc darn sight easier

Sounds like it is the performance options.

You can disable all the pretty colours in performance options and it will go back to Windows 95 style.

Its all back to normal , ive let it do a scandisc while i was at work . I now have normality for a week forfore it will go tits up again
