+1. In fact my Sagaris is there now. I drive it 225 miles each way just to be assured of Jason's super critical eye and attention to detail. I have had both 6k and 12k services done there, plus shock upgrades, full bush replacements, full geo set up and brakes. It's not just servicing, it's a complete detailed inspection of your entire car, top to bottom. It's a relief to get honest advisories in order to budget and schedule for any remedial work, therefore negating any ongoing failures. To give you an example; last year, during the 12k, Jason advised that the alarm wasn't working effectively. Turned out the microwave transmitter had been fitted upside down when it left the factory! Something and nothing I guess, but I always wondered how many other service garages would have picked this up? I consider my money well spent at STR8SIX. Never heard of the other place..
I've never used S-6, but I have never heard anything bad against them (even in private).
I go to RG because of conveniance (10 mins away), and I have a good relationship with the guys there (shame about the loss of the sales force though - I know some people had issues with them, but they were all good with me). I know some people will harp on against them, but they have always been really good to me, for my cars, and I can't fault them.

Same here. I live about 20 mins away by car. Also, they are happy to have the car in Saturday to Saturday when working on it, which is very convenient for me. Having used indies in the past I know they are often very unhappy with arrangements like that, but RG have a compound and are happy to accommodate.
I can't comment on Str8Six as I have no experience of them.
Bought from Racing green.
Upgraded to FFF head with RG when original head slipped a liner.
Very pleased with all aspects of service.
The original block of the car then cracked and Racing Green rebuilt the engine again with new block under their warranty.
Again no issues.
Very professional set up.
I know that Jason and his team also provide excellent service and very high and quality re- builds and upgrades.
I don't think you would be displeased by either .

Sorry to go OT but what was the warranty you received with the FFF head/ rebuild? Might be something I'd be interested in upgrading to. Cheers AndrewUpgraded to FFF head with RG when original head slipped a liner.

Another vote for St8six here. Don't let anybody else service/maintain/upgrade my TVR, used them for almost two years. I am sure RG are good but they are more expensive (compare their service prices for example).
In a market where there are several 'good' service providers its the small details that set them apart, that's why I use Jason & his team.... That and the fact the Perodua cars you get to borrow whilst in for work are a screem to bomb round in.

They even stayed open late for me yesterday when I picked my car up and do everything you ask plus extras I am sure my hand brake works better now. Then as I drove off having let Jason have a head start in his office-mobile my MIL light went off and Jason even answered his mobile straight away and helped rest my mind that it was just a little damp in the sensor. 30 mins later and I am roaring past a learner and all is well with the world with beeping only when gear changes necessary

I think sums it up perfectly.Personally, I can't praise Jason and his team enough.
I had an experience with RG that was less than ideal. This may be removed, so I'll keep this as blah as possible. Essentially, they had to choose between supporting a customer (who was in the right but needed their confirmation on an issue to press a point with a provider) and the provider, and they chose "not to be involved any more" - the provider winning. Perhaps the better business proposal winning, but in any event that's my two pence.
To be balanced and fair, they seemed fine prior to and deserve a decent reputation. I chose to take my business elsewhere after though.

Jason, Mark and Gordon (yes- Mark and Gordon are worthy of a mention as well as it's more often than not the case that they'll be working on your car) are as good as it gets when it comes to servicing, fixing and generally looking after TVR's. They look after my Cerbera and my Wedge and I simply wouldn't consider going anywhere else. All of them are extremely good at their jobs and their attention to detail is phenomenal. Prices are reasonable too.
If for whatever reason I was looking to change my cars and was after another TVR I would go to Str8six first and if what I was after wasn't readily available, then I wouldn't hesitate to ask Jason to try and source a car for me such is my confidence in him to find me a very good car.

Yet another vote for jason at str8six, can't fault him.

Rebuilt by them under a warranty claim, well I never got to the bottom of the why's and how's, but my engine had to have its second full rebuild 8000 miles later, to fix a good number of problems that weren't resolved first time round. That spoke volumes to me...

In fairness, when an engine is rebuilt under a warranty claim it has to be rebuilt to the exact spec it was in, or else "Betterment" occurs. It happened with my engine - they weren't able to rebuild it to an improved spec. (Although, as it turned out, the warranty company slithered out of paying)
Anyway, the point is that an engine rebuilt under a warranty claim will retain all of the flaws of the original Speed6 engine.
