can anyone add edges to an image??

That sounds confusing yes, I had my new vmax logo done on 99designs and I've gone to have them made into stickers for vmax and the vinyl company have said they need the files in a pdf formal or as a eps so they can have a cut outline for the stickers.

Anybody able to do this from a jpeg?

(sorry if I sound mongy, this isnt my thing!)

I think its pretty easy to do in photoshop, email them over to me at [e-mail] and I will do it when I get home.

Have your designers send you over the file again in eps format, the printers can do the rest themselves

Turning a jpg into a vector (pdf/eps) isn't recommended to be honest. The vinyl company will probably want to blow up the image.

Here's what will probably happen.



You should have been supplied with a vector in the first place.

Could you post up the logo to take a look? It may be easy to re-trace and create a vector from.

ah mate i'd be ever so grateful. its been a big old process to get to this point so to not be able to use them for what they were designed for is a bit of a pig!

Hi Craig,

I ended up completely re-drawing the whole logo, was easier than trying other methods. Anyhow, there's very subtle differences between the original and mine, mainly being the gradients within the rev limiter (was proving time consuming to replicate exactly, especially with the quality of the jpg you posted). The main thing is it's now in vector format (I'll upload and email you a link shortly), and you can blow up to billboard size if you like!

As I said, I'll throw the psd (and a pdf) your way very shortly.
