Where to buy standard Chimaera brake discs?

Looking to buy standard size discs at the best price to run for a year until i upgrade.

Pretty sure they are a standard Ford part, Sierra Cosworth? 4X4? You should be able to pick one up at any decent motor factors, I use Allparts for a lot of my bits. Maybe take the old one along to check sizing.

Yep as about standard Sierra 4x4 jobbies. Local motor factors will be cheapest as long as you don't mention TVR

I think my rears are 270mm ?? so not the 253mm for the 4x4???

You've got me there Derek - it was quite a few years since I changed mine and wouldn't want to give you duff information.
But as I say, mine were just standard. If your rears are different perhaps they've had an upgrade?

Mines a '98 450, 260mm on the front, 273mm vented on the rear.

They are still Ford items (ours is the same as yours!). Might be Granada Cosworth or something though not 100% sure as it's been a few years since we replaces them. Burton Power might list sizes on there site?

Take a look at www.brakesint.co.uk feed in various Fords and it gives all main disc dimensions, might have to go through a few variants of Sierra/Granada/Scorpio but you should find what you need, and prices are pretty good too !

I ordered front 260mm vented for a Sierra 4x4 and rear 273mm vented for a Granada cosworth.

Came to about £107 all in... bargain
