Clare Solomon "Student Protest unofficial Leader" Interview.
Discussion
Spotted this on a FB profile going mental at her for her being a disgrace to students and thought I would share.
She was the unofficial leader of the student protests in london, She went for the ULU (University of London Union) Presidency and lost:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/2011/mar/19/...
She now blames everyone and anyone and is on a warpath for next week:
After Thursday's election defeat we talk on the phone. She says there was a right-wing alliance against her (for her, right-wing means Labour as well as Lib Dem and Tory, who all came together against her). She is gutted, but insists that she has a degree to go back to, and "this is the just the beginning – it is not the end. The movement isn't about me – it's about all those students who have protested about the government's plans. It is all about 26 March now. It's not just about education – it's about what sort of society do we want?"
She says its a defeat for the students, but surely it was the students who voted her out???
Oh and she was the one that said this:
"The view that Jews have been persecuted all throughout history is one that has been fabricated in the last 100 or so years to justify the persecution of Palestinians."
At least now my tv will survive another question time if she isnt on it.

Should be culled, along with Livingscum.... absolutely loathsome individual. Perhaps she'd appreciate having her windows smashed and spray painted by a bunch of yobs???
That's unfair to Livingstone. Whilst i don't agree with his politics, i don't think he's a bad person per se (and he is vaguely bearable on LBC radio). This woman is dangerous .. so far to the left she is actually right.fido said:

"Though part of the issue is inarticulacy – she is up-front about her difficulties with words – she has cause to be worried."
and
"n her mid-20s, with her husband, and money from the Prince's Trust and local government, she set up a cafe called the Char Bar,"
and
"...finds the discipline of essay-writing a challenge. She is currently on a sabbatical."
This is a university student?
Makes my one GCSE look rather good!!!

A council flat apparently. "Solomon lives in an enviable location, on the sixth floor of the Oxo Tower in London"
Gees, what a pisstake. Seriously, what is the point of working in this country? Hell, why bother when some f
k up of a student who has screwed up her life, gets such a reward. No wonder she's anti Tory, because with any luck she'll be looking for a home that is more in line with her wealth soon.tinman0 said:
Wish I had a council flat in the Oxo Tower complex on the bank of the Thames in central London, surrounded by multi million pound properties.

You do not require any intelligence to become a student. When I was at Uni, there was a young man who was mentally challenged to the point where he struggled with reading, writing, listening and speech. He had an assistant who did the work 'with him'. I helped him quite often too, and did consider him a friend, however he'd have struggled with an 11+ exam to be honest.

Unfortunately, the standards of University have dropped hell of a lot and anyone is able to go, but the public perception remains that a Uni student is some sort of intellectual elite.

This doesn't apply to all courses though.Unfortunately, the standards of University have dropped hell of a lot and anyone is able to go, but the public perception remains that a Uni student is some sort of intellectual elite.
