London restaurants suitable for kids
Discussion
My sister is visiting this weekend with her 7 and 1.5 year olds in tow.
The restaurants I usually go to around my 'hood (soho) don't really seem appropriate for such young kids, as they tend to be lively, have loud music etc.
Was thinking I could take them to Byron once, burgers always go down well with kids.
Any other suggestions nearby or in south ken/notting hill?

Ate here successfully with in-laws and their 3 year old a couple of months ago.

I can't remember exactly where it is so might be a useless suggestion but the rainforest cafe is always a hit!
Shaftesbury Avenue, so 5 minutes from Soho.Yes it's overpriced and the food isn't great but the kids will absolutely love it.
Without a doubt one of my best eating out memories as a kid.
Also, one of the american themed diner/ burger joints would be quite fun. Again, there is one around the Soho/ Piccadilly area called Ed's. They also have one in the Trocadero, which would be fun for the kids before or afterwards.
Used to love Ed's Easy Diner, particularly the chips and gravy, which they want to call Wet Fries
Chilli Dog, chips and gravy and a Rolling Rock was the end of many an evening out.
Certainly fun if you want to be able to point out homosexuals, vagrants and clip joints to the kids
Kettners is close by, and fairly child friendly.
