What a shame...

Evo had the chance to produce a real nice website to compliment their magazine and they failed miserably. Even looks like they copied it directly from Auto Express and pasted their logos on.

Good Job I only subscribe to the magazine and not the website.

P.S. What is with all the diesels this month? (June 2002 issue) - They'll be called 'Diesel Evo' next...

I agree! the website stinks!
I subscribed to Evo via www.subscriptions.co.uk, about a week ago, but I have no idea which day of the month they are released? any ideas?

Generally it is released the first Wednesday of every month. But take that as a finger in the air guess...

Why oh why did they change the format of the old website - it looked good before - just didn't have any content. And as for the images gallery...

The forums are pants too, nothing compared to these...

No doubt the commercial pressures from Dennis Publishing (Autoexpress people) forced the change. I guess they want the website to be more of a money spinner than it was. Not a good start by losing the Evo identity though...

Didn't the Autoexpress publishers buy EVO? Might explain things a bit.

John.

Lets hope they leave the magazine well alone - we like it just the way it is...do we?

I used to spend a lot of time on there, as it had a "raw" feeling. A little like this place! My time was split 50/50 here and evo. Now I onlyt visit every now and then. It lost its identity and its appeal. Shame really.

Was a good source of advice.

The new site is horrid and full of needless tosh. I do welcome the extra content, but the new forum software is pants and it has driven away (sorry) a lot of the former regulars. The old forum there had real momentum.
