Not sure really. The 3rd drivers should be at the top of the charts, as they can go for it, without having to conserve engine, protect the chassis etc.

Having said that, good luck to Mr Davidson. The problem he will have is not being quick (he has been closer to Mark Webber than any other team mate), but proving he has it over the long race. IIRC, he threw himself off the track at both of his GP opportunities .

Well it was in the Minardi, a car that is clearly well below the driving capabilities of all that have driven it except Alex Yoong and Zsolt Baumgartner.

It is a shame Button missed his line through that corner, cost him between 1.5 and 2 seconds I think. Had he been in the top three on the grid we might have had a more interesting race.
MS put in a good one, even though he went a bit wide on one corner.
ZsB is hopeless. I get fed up of the Hungarian commentators making excuses for him. This really is a case of money being more important than talent.

Exactly, Bruni his team mate is a very good driver, he was often quickest Minardi during the Friday test sessions last year, which got him the drive. But he's not as good yet as most of the top Premier League drivers. Which means Zsolt is......well............he's sort of.........Beazer Homes league standard

IIRC he got the drive over someone else (can't recall who) simply because he came with £1,000,000 of sponsorship. For a struggling team like Minardi, that's a whole load of wonga!

He is a state sponsored bad driver, his Government have stumped up for his drive, maybe Mr Blair could stump up for Justin Wilson. One of the season previews, either Autosport or F1 Racing I think, had a papagraph long write-up on each driver except for Baumgartne, who got one line 'Zolt Baumgartner is rubbish!'

For "Mr Blair" read "you and me". I, for one, am not prepared to subsidise Formula 1 drivers or venues out of MY taxes. If F1 needs governments to find the cash to keep it going - as in Maysia and Bahrain, it can go take a jump.

Chill! I didn't really mean 'we' pay for Wilson to get a drive (he has a Champ Car & Le Mans drive anyway), it wasn't a serious suggestion
