Don't know if this is the correct section but the worlds biggest trip-le expansion steam engines are in steam on Saturday and Saturday.

I am heading down on Saturday morning and suggest if you are free you should get on down.....they are mighty impressive.

I really wanted to go, but I'm ankles deep in saw dust and yacht paint and the season is nearly upon us!

Its a huge engine!

Lovely Royce too.

Thanks for the heads up on that, I went down Sunday and it was well worth the time. The pictures don't do justice to how impressive the engines are up close and how nice they smell too.

The engine produces 1008 HP at 30rpm so according to my maths this means the engine has 176,400lbs of torque!! yikes
