Just wandered down stairs to hear the radio on..

Chris Moyles (for charity) is trying 50 hours.
In the 10 mins all I heard was:

This is going to be so hard..
we will do it.
no we won't
This is going to be so hard.
we can do it.

etc..
etc.
etc.

They are just filling already at 1:30 in.

Squeezebox is now playing something else.

I heard that too - don't ask...

He gets 5 mins every hour as a break, and then talked about saving them up and having half an hour off, erm isn't that defeating the purpose?

Pussy.

Reminds me of this with the Comic Relief effort. Good luck to them.

They have raised £150k for Comic Relief so far.

Fair play to them, was real funny with Scott Mills and Paul O'Grady earlier.

+1

I find him greatly entertaining in the morning and massive props to him for having a crack at this. Originally it was supposed to be 38 hours just so they could beat Simon Mayo's record but if they push on to 50 hours it takes them right through to Friday morning and their third breakfast show in a row. Also, the 5 minute break per hour thing is a H&S thing forced upon them, they have to take it so it's not really "cheating"

Friday morning should be most entertaining.

You're forgetting your on PH, people here regularly do 50 hour shifts at work with no breaks. wink

It's been really good so far today, I'm off work this week so have managed to listen to a fair chunk of it but as you say it'll be interesting to see how they're coping when they go into the second night on air!

Hats off to them and I'll be donating a pound for every hour they manage to stay on air once they've finished.
