how many sls for sale?
Discussion
just been looking on pistonheads 25,autotrader 33, and the mb site 28,some of these are on all 3 sites but even then there seem to be nearly 60 sls amg's for sale.
not looking very good for these, any traders on here made any bids on sls's ?
was talking to a mb salesman who was saying that mb have 25 new unregistered uk cars available.
some people have lost big money on these by the looks of it.
how long before a sls for about 120k?

The car specialist around the corner from me has one and has it for ages.
Horrid looking things and would not be on the shopping list, even if the 90,000,000 came up on Friday.
I would much rather an SLR to be honest.
loads of the cars have been on sale since they came out even for a business it must be crazy sitting on a big lump like that and losing money every month.Horrid looking things and would not be on the shopping list, even if the 90,000,000 came up on Friday.

as for the looks i think its a personal opinion i quite like the look of them i think they are very colour sensitive with black, imola grey and white look very good.
the first car i would get if my numbers came up.
looks like this guy has lost nearly £35000 on his and thats before there was a price increase of over £10k so would be a new price of over £184k. that would work out at nearly £50 per mile.

Hi mate that has been for sale for ages.
how you doing? yea that car has been on sale since the launch.
i hate to imagine what he must have been bid in the trade.
it goes to show that if your going to buy a car to sell on quickly you should buy in a safe colour ie black, silver, and a black interior.
with the sls cab on the way the only way these will be going is down.
anyone think we will see a £100k sls this year?

there do seem to be a lot for sale with now quite a few at 150k, plus the cheaper red one. seem to be having a bit of rapid correction
there is 1 at romans that was up at over £200k i worked out the list price of over £195k which is now on for £154k with 560 miles on it.it is the perfect spec for me black with 2tone black and red leather with the carbon interior. would be nice if it was about £130k.

This may be a silly question, but: How do you shut the door when you've got in the car and are sitting on the seat ready to drive off? There isn't a button to do it electronically as far as I know.
You have to reach up to pull it by a handle on the inside; for me at 5'11 so pretty average it's an uncomfortable stretch. The other way is to pull it down as you get into the car but you have to be very careful not to catch your other hand in the door frame doing this.A German company has also just started installing motors to do it by a button though; as far as I'm aware there aren't any major negatives of this but I don't know the cost.
