M.I.L. light

Took the dashboard out today (that was fun) to sort a few "issues" and finally found out what the MIL light does, nothing, not a wire connected to it !

Think I'll run a wire in and use it as oil warning light, never going to notice the gauge "in time" should something break.

wouldn't mind making that mod myself. If you get a wiring setup that works please let me know how you achieve it and I'll do the same next time the dash is out

Mine's (V8S) is wired to the oil warning sender. I think it was Barkychoc who enlightened me - thanks Chris.

"Malfunction Indicator Lamp" to give it its proper title, something to do with emmissions ?

Maybe its used on catalyst cars ?

It is used on later V8 ecu's I think to indicate an engine / ECU problem.
