Just been watching this on BBC2 and noticed that one of the paramedic helicopters had a Pistonheads "speed matters" sticker on the side of it. Whats the story behind that then, is one of the paramedics a PH"er.

What made it particularly ironic was that they were going to a call that involved a man being chased by the police and leaving the road at "100mph" speed matters indeed.

It wasn't the 'Hammond' money raising chopper, was it?

It is the helicopter that took Hammond to hospital and started the whole fund raising thing here (and via TV, newspapers etc). I think what they are showing now is a repeat of the first series that was recorded not that long after all that happened, making good use of the raised public awareness. I'm sure the repeat fees won't be huge, but it certainly all helps.

It was during my stint as editor - and that finished when Ted sold to Haymarket in 2007.
