Reccomend me a nice bottle of red...

If you're willing to order more than one at a time, I can't recommend this highly enough:

Their Dark Harvest is one of the best reds I've ever had, and if you're buying more than one at a time the cost comes down and they deliver..

Oh, and Casillero del Diablo is high on my list of preferred reds too. Shouldn't be more than about £6-7 a bottle.

If you want something very easy to drink, Campo Viejo rioja is in most supermarkets and it's often half price in Sainburys.
And this, or the Campo Viejo Reserva is even better. This is also an essential part of my red wine-drinking process now: http://www.vinturi.org.uk/
The difference is incredible, and although it's not cheap, I highly recommend it!

If you're starting on red then you need to start light.
Ignore shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, south of france, rioja etc just now and start out on:
new zealand pinot noir ( currently £5 half price in asda)
beaujolais / fleurie / gamay from france
bardolino from italy
these are all really mild but very nice reds.
Try merlot / chianti / rioja / pinotage or a cab sauv/shiraz blend next.
The whole point is that if you want to like cheese, you don't start with a strong blue roquefort. You start with something pleasant and simple and build up.

Thanks for this tip - that's not far from us either and I think I'll pop along for a tour + tasting. https://www.bolneywineestate.co.uk/Shop/Wine/wine....

A really good way to spend a day, and I also found their rosé and sparkling to be superb - normally I'm not a fan of either..
