"Telling a patient he had bad breath "

Thats his farking job, isn't it? Granted, the other 'transgressions' make him seem a bit of a twit though.

Smiler.

Isn't that the sort of thing you'd want your dentist to point out? confused Could be down to all sorts of oral hygiene issues.

The other stuff... fair enough hehe

The General Dental Council often threaten to strike off practitioners... so it's nice to see them follow through.

My dentist in Birmingham gassed someone to death. He got struck off as well. I don't recall if it was with laughing gas or methane, but there was a terrible brouhaha in the papers about it at the time.

This story sounds like a lot of hot air to me. I hope they get to the bottom of it.

Apart from the farting he sounds like my old dentist, especially the bit about asking to see the colour of your money.

Or worse - helicobacter causes a distinctive bad breath and is linked to stomach ulcers and stomach cancer so is something that is really good to get treated

  • Breaking wind during appointments silly billy
  • Telling a patient he had bad breath WTF is wrong with that, someone had to tell him
  • Exposing a nurse to X-ray radiation she should not have been in the way then
  • Making derogatory comments about unemployed patients Most likely refering to chavs who make a day out of going to see the doctors/dentists
  • Asking patients to show their money before providing treatment Whats wrong with that?
  • Pushing a nervous teenage patient back into his chair, telling him: "You will sit and let me do it" best way to deal with nervous people
Just another bloke to be fair. Okay not all very PC or 'professional' but surely no need to strike him off!

I'm sure you are allowed to charge the patients for the band of NHS treatment before commencing treatment.

Asking patients to show their money before treatment. WTF's wrong with that? When I go to the dentists, the nurse asks me to fill in a treatment form and the one question I'm always asked,"Do you pay for your treatment?"
