C63 fuel octane

What's the correct fuel grade to use,Owners manual states super , dealership I purchased said standard.

It'll run just fine on normal, it really will.

However, this is one of the few cars where there is a perceptible difference in using 99 octane (i.e. either Shell vPower or Tesco 99...don't bother with BP ultimate as there is no perceptible difference).

Tell you what though, when I took my C63 to the 'ring last summer and used the widely available super-duper fuel (102 octane IIRC) it was like I'd put jet fuel in it...it must have gained a good 20hp from the fuel alone given how much stronger it felt. Was 'only' about €1.50/ltr which isn't too bad....I bet if stuff like that was available over here it'd be a fair bit more than that!

BP Ultimate 102 was withdrawn from the UK in March last year, it was then £2.42 a litre which was pretty high as regular BP unleaded was just under a £1 at that same point.
