Blade Runner prequel & sequel movies could be made.
Discussion
Another prequel/sequel remake that doesn't need making IMHO.

The film works because it's old, old techniques to film making, dark, nasty. I have no doubt it'll be CGi'd to death and become too spectacular and shiny.
If it's made the same way and to look the same way a sequel might work, but I can't see a plot or story.

Sequel could be good, with Harrison Ford as a much older Reckhard reflecting on what happened in the original, was Rachael a cyborg , did Gaff kill her.
And a prequel that follows the wars from Batty's perspective maybe.
'Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate'

But like the Things that should have stayed a mystery forever thread surely this should be one as well?
Wow! I just hope they get it right. They need relative unknowns IMO so you can get into the characters without reputations and particular acting styles, no damn Will Smiths, DiCaprios or Damons. As said before the CGI needs to be just right maybe including some back to basics model making.
Then there's the soundtrack, some seriously good electronica required.

You just know it will be Pixar based with Will Smith, Jack Black and Pamela Anderson. With the Chemical Brothers and Justin Beiber doing the soundtrack. Then there's the soundtrack, some seriously good electronica required.

Batty's story - that's definitely got mileage, his gradual realisation of his true origins and his impending doom, am I real, am I a robot, do I have free will? A bit like Moon, A.I and Logan's Run all mashed into one. Then the rebellion and escape, lots of reasons to have shooty things and lasers and some off-world capers! A main character who's a bad guy will be quite refreshing. And a prequel that follows the wars from Batty's perspective maybe.
