Cannot go wrong with the 50mm f/1.8.
Oh and I love my 10-22mm. Current 1st choice take out lens.

My 24-105 stays on one of my bodies as my walkabout, on full frame so 24mm is actually quite wide. The IS works well, it isn't massively heavy to carry all day and the IQ is superb. I'd have liked the 24-70 for the extra stop but the lack of IS put me off.

If only Canon did a 24-105 F2.8 IS L series I'd be in that like a shot.

10-20 is my favourite. For a 2-lens bag I'd take that and an 18-200, covering as you say most bases.

I only really use 3, maybe 4.

24-70, 50mm, 85mm and either an 80-200/70-300, mainly for headshots

50mm is my absolute favourite I'd say. In addition to that I have the kit lens (18-55), along with a 10-22 and 70-200 2.8 (along with 2x converter) that covers most bases. Next change is to get a 24-70 2.8 as the general lens in lieu of the kit lens, but that might be a few months off!

35mm f/1.4 L would have to be my favourite at the moment, (until I get an 85 f/1.2 anyway).

Like Mark 24-105L used for probably 90% of my shots I'd like to move to fast primes but need a windfall before that would happen!

If I had to pick one on my 7 it would be the 17-55f2.8, without a doubt.

Good enough to use at 2.8 and give excelent results, and the right range for me on a crop.

I can live without filters but I'd take a CPL if I had to choose one.

I only ever use a Sigma 10-20mm, when it comes to Abandoned buildings it does everything I need.

Same here, best £300 I spent. If I'm not using that i'll be using my 50mm. Maybe it's my camera but the AF on my 50mm is rubbish, on any close-ish object it just goes to either extreme and then gives up. I'll do my best to MF but I'm not very good.

Haven't used my zoom lens for over a year now.

With the money saved 135 F2 'L' the best lens Canon make bar NONE

OH almost forgot - don't ever use a filter you'll degrade the image produced
