I've got the option of getting one of these, with either Dura-Ace components or SRAM Red, for around £2,000. Does anyone have any idea whether that sounds like a good deal or not?

With the massive range of prices for carbon frames, I'm struggling to determine whether it's good value!

Have you ridden one? If not, try and ride it first - 2k is a lot to spend on a bike that you may not get on with.

leopard are the sponsors of the new Luxembourg funded pro cycling team who hold Schleck and Cancellara. they however ride Trek so this looks, on face value, to be some sort of generic carbon frame with "leopard" on the side to cash in. "Ridden to several victories in regional pro-am events" is hardly inspiring.

that all said, it probably comes from the same factories as far more expensive brand name frames but i would urge caution.

you can pick up some good deals for £2K at the moment from the likes of Bottechi, Basso and Moda who are not as well known as specilaised or trek but offer better value for money as a result and their frames also come form those same factories.....

£2k for a carbon bike with DA or red is good value but i wouldnt bother. something more reputable with ultegra or force will be just as good.

The 'Leopard' in Leopard Trek isn't a sponsor, it's just the team name. It has nothing to do with the Leopard cycle company who have been selling bikes under that name for years now, before Andy Schleck was even a pro. Nothing to do with cashing in.

Never had any experience with the bikes though.

carbon frame, force gruppo, AC420 wheelset, they may be flexible with regards to the wheels to bring the price down a bit...

Mmm I have been eyeing that up for a while just can't make my mind up about this or the cube agree gtc race, the benefit on the cube being the shop is local to me whereas epic are 150 miles away.

OP - Having had a look they look like nice enough frames and kit but not amazing value considering what else is on the market.
